Tutoring Tommy
I honestly can’t remember what I used to do for fun before I
had Thomas. I’m sure there was a bunch of stuff like hanging out with friends,
and going to the movies, and shopping. But beyond that thought I can’t remember
what I used to think was fun.
I’ve changed. It’s what people do. Now I find it fun to
watch my kid in amazement as he does something, which I’m sure to other people
seems stupid and ridiculous. Like when
he finds it completely amazing that he can blow bubbles in his cup, or when he
shows me what body parts are where, or even when he is counting how many
fingers I have.
I love spending the time to teach him all these things. And
as much as I would love to take full credit for all of it, the most of the
credit has to be given to him. He shocks me with how smart he is. Sometimes he
picks things up and I have no idea where he learns it from. But none the less, it makes me super proud.
